ACI AEP Configuration

Published by Keyboard Banger on

In this short article we discover how we configure AEP on Cisco ACI. Previously I wrote about AEP briefly in my ACI notes.

ACI AEP Configuration

go to Fabric -> Access Policies:

Then click on Policies -> Global -> Attachable Access Entity Profiles.

Right Click and choose Create Attachable Access Entity Profile

aci-aep

type a name and a description for your AEP:

aci-aep

Then click the plus sign to add a Domain, and I am not referring by it to a bridge domain:aci-aep

I choose to create a new Domain:

aci-aep

I name my new physical Domain:

aci-aep

and under VLAN Pool I click on the down arrow and choose create VLAN Pool:

aci-aep

After naming my new VLAN Pool I click on the plus button to add the VLAN range:

aci-aep

I define the VLAN range, let the other settings unchanged and click OK:

aci-aep

Now my VLAN Pool is created. I can close the VLAN Pool window with Submit, which takes me back to the physical domain window.

I can see that the VLAN Pool field is now populated. We submit the settings in order to get back to the AEP window:

aci-aep

Then click on Update to apply the chosen domain to our AEP:

aci-aep

click Next. Then I choose my Interface Policy Group to which I associate the AEP. Last, I click Finish.

Our AEP is now created and is seen under the list of Attachable Access Entity Profiles:
